July 2006Mon, Jul 3rd, 2006This lack of blog posting displeases me. I need to get into more of a routine here. Make that, BACK into more of a routine here. There was a time when I posted every day. Pretty much no matter what. I should take a lesson from that. I also think it's high time for a new comic. Stay tuned. Thursday, July 13, 2006Site design overhaul, mostly concerning the headerbar and main index page. I think it was another step towards de-uglification. Let me know what you think! Friday, July 14, 2006I'm thinking of totally overhauling the front page format, starting from below the logo (ie, right where I'm posting right now). As it is now, this page doesn't really contain much to hold the viewer's interest, unless you really like reading my blog. And if you like it TOO much, I'm kind of scared of you. See? Lose-lose! I think I'm going to feature content from other parts of the site, in a sort of "What's new and exciting" sort of format. And once I start putting out some web java games, I'm going to strongly consider putting one right here on front page central. You'll know the result of my speculations, as you will see them, in living colour, right where these words are. Bye for now, Space Cowboy! Monday, July 17th, 2006I love how my content-sensitive advertising thinks that my site is about Jewish New Year. The fact that I have just posted the words "Jewish New Year" aren't helping the situation, either. Especially now that I've posted it twice. Haha. Happy 10,000 hits! (Since April 16th) Saturday, July 22nd, 2006So I've decided to start weightlifting again. It's amazing how much of the strength can be lost through not using your muscles. Some of the tone may stay, but lifting things becomes ridiculously hard. I started with a token gesture today. Weight: 50 Pounds Reps: 20 In other news, I'm overdue for a new comic. Expect one soon. Update: New comic! Seeya later, Space Cowboy! Sunday, July 23rd, 2006Added new section: Flash Laboratory! You can play a very partially finished game there, at the moment! Weights - Day 2 Weight: 50 Pounds Reps: 30 Monday, July 24th, 2006Weights - Day 3 Weight: 50 Pounds Weight: 25 Pounds Hahaha, my arms quiver whenever I lift them above where gravity wants them to be. But you know what they say. Shaky arms are growing arms. What a stupid thing to say, you say? That's 'cause it's not actually a saying. It's probably some sort of delirium-induced nonsense that seemed like a good thing to say at the time! Tuesday, July 25th, 2006Weights - Day 4 Bench Press Weight: 50 lbs Weight:40 lbs Weight: 30 lbs Weight: 25 lbs I've lost 3 pounds so far. Wednesday, July 26th, 20067:29 AM Weights - Day 5 After only 5 days, I can already see great improvement in both size and definition. It's like the muscles that I built up before were laying dormant, saying "hey, we're ready when you are". I've discovered that working out is a really good way to start the day. Starts the day off with a feeling of strength. Bench Press Weight: 60 lbs Weight: 50 lbs Weight: 40 lbs Weight: 25 lbs Friday, July 28th, 2006Totally re-coded Four Panels of Fun so that it exists ENTIRELY in one PHP document. Ah, the magic of PHP! I got the idea while reading Diesel Sweeties. I saw the "?s=" in the address, and thought "hmm, I wonder if s is a variable? I wonder if I'm ACTUALLY on the verge of knowing how to do this!". So, with some successful guesswork and a bit of research, I implemented my own version, on my own site! Yay! Sunday, July 30th, 2006Gotta love oldskool RPGs. Weights - Day 6 Bench Press Weight: 60 lbs Token gesture today. Monday, July 31st, 2006So I converted the format of the main index page to a fixed width, for less ugliness on large screens. I'm going to do an overhaul in which subsections of the site are all extensions of the main index, so it should soon be fixed-width for all! In other news, I'll probably be tearing down the front page format soon. I want to make it more exciting and appealing to visitors. I now announce the triumphant return of the forums! Join!
