12:32 AM
Going to fire up Mega Man 1. Optimistic.
Mega Man 1
12:45 AM
Defeated Bombman, first try. The level was of medium length and moderately boring. The boss was easy. I scored over 140,000 points, which is odd, only for the reason that this is the only Mega Man game that features a scoring system.
12:54 AM
Iceman stage, attempt 1: survived the maddening appearing/disappearing block section, only to fall to my death while trying to navigate the platforms with guns on them that shoot me and are also over an abyss.
1:23 PM
Going to play some more.
1:27 PM
Guts Man stage kicked my ass in a hurry, via the moving platforms that dump you off, into yet another abyss. I think I could have done a lot better, I feel somewhat uncoordinated today. Going to re-attempt.
1:34 PM
Murdered by the same platforms. Again, I try.
1:40 PM
Killed by same platforms, even faster this time. Again, I try.
1:45 PM
Guts Man is dead! I made it to him with about 2/3 of my last life remaining. I was delighted to find that he could be murdered by 3 bombs.
1:56 PM
Cut Man stage. Thought it looked like a nice shortcut to jump off the edge instead of going down the ladder. The game anticipated this, and provided me with some nice spikes below, one screen down.
2:06 PM
Cut Man defeated. I failed to kill him with the throwable blocks, but fortunately, he was easy to kill with just regular shots. 3 down, 3 to go.
2:11 PM
Killed in the hallway leading to Fire Man's lair. Starting a level on your last life can be somewhat frustrating.
2:18 PM
Killed by Fire Man when he had 4 bars of life left. Retrying.
